Lamson’s HVAC Training
If you’ve ever considered a career as an HVAC technician, now would be the time to get started! With the climate changing, the weather is hitting more extreme temperatures as time goes on. This increases the need for more heating, ventilation, and air conditioning experts to assist in adapting to the climate changes. In order to be an HVAC technician, proper HVAC training is a must before moving on to the actual job. At Lamson Institute we offer our Commercial Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning program that prepares students with the foundation they need to know before starting out their career as an HVAC technician.
To start out, clarification is needed for what HVAC is and what it consists of. HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. The complete system of HVAC can control air temperature, humidity and fresh air intake while maintaining the quality of the air in any indoor building. Many times an ‘R’ is placed at the end to refer to Refrigeration and is abbreviated HVACR. This refers to all the different systems, machines, and technologies used in both residential and commercial indoor settings.
With Lamson’s HVAC training, students will be prepared to install, repair and service any heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration system. Once graduated, students will be qualified to work in private businesses and major commercial companies such as hospitals, hotels, office buildings and manufacturers. They will be qualified to execute many tasks such as replacing condensing units, compressors and evaporator fan motors. Students will also be able to install and repair gas heating systems, along with mechanical and electrical equipment. On top of that, they will be proficient in servicing and repairing ice machines, walk-in coolers and freezers, and reach-ins. Since Lamson’s program provides hands on training, students are given the opportunity to hone their technique before dealing with real life situations. The hands-on training allows students to apply what they learned in the classroom to the equipment they will be using in the future.
So if you’re ready to get your HVAC training started, then look no further. After being a graduate of Lamson’s Commercial Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning program, you will be prepared to finally start your career as a HVAC technician. Don’t waste any more time, check us out today!
