Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Commercial Refrigeration mechanics (commonly known as HVAC mechanics or HVAC technicians) work on the systems that control the temperature and air quality in buildings. HVAC technicians carry out skilled technical duties involving repair, maintenance, replacement, and installation of heating, air-conditioning, and distribution systems.

The Workforce: As a graduate of Lamson Institute’s HVAC program you will be qualified to work as an HVAC technician in homes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, and factories. Worksites may be extremely hot or extremely cold as the systems that manage temperature need repair and are not working properly. Many of these systems are located outdoors.
